"Circles of Influence" Campaign Launched
The University of Birmingham is encouraging everyone to play a part in financing future discoveries with far-reaching benefits, as it launched its £60 million fundraising campaign at the House of Lords, London on the 30th of October. £43 million has already been raised towards the target through donations from alumni, friends, companies and charitable trusts. University Vice-Chancellor Professor David Eastwood is so committed to the campaign that he is personally donating £40,000. See press release here.
All gifts from the USA will be worth an additional 33% to the University

University of Birmingham climbs to no. 66 in World rankings
The University has improved from 75th to 66th in the Times Higher 'Top 200 World Universities' ranking, placing Birmingham as the tenth highest ranked University in the UK.
