About

The University of Birmingham Foundation

Alumni of the University of Birmingham created the University of Birmingham Foundation in 1998. It exists to:

  • Promote the interests and welfare of the University of Birmingham;
  • Advance the values of impartial inquiry and dedicated scholarship among its students, faculty, and alumni and within the world educational community.
  • Develop a USA alumni community.

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, a majority of whom are US citizens or permanent residents, and managed by Executive Officers. In association with Regional Coordinators, it organizes alumni events throughout North America. The Foundation is a recognized independent 501(c)(3) charity under the laws of the United States, and provides United States and Mexican taxpayers (pursuant to NAFTA) with a means by which they can make tax-deductible donations. for the benefit of the University. The Foundation, at its discretion, makes donations to support the University and its activities. In compliance with United States law, the Foundation's tax return is available here.
